MEET SIERRA MADRE'S
2024 ROYAL COURT

BELOVED PASTOR
RICHARD ANDERSON
PASSES AWAY

From left to right: Frances Farnam, Evyn Clayton, Abi Altruz

The Sierra Madre Rose Float Association is pleased to announce the selection
of the 2024 Sierra Madre Rose Float Association Royal Court. Please help us
welcome Frances Farnam, Evyn Clay-ton and Abi Altruz, who will represent
SMRFA and the City of Sierra Madre over the coming year. All three of our new
princesses attend California School of the Arts.

Sierra Madre has lost another Treasure. Rev. Richard
'Dick' Anderson recently passed away. Best known
for his 40 years of service as Pastor of the Congregational
Church (currently known as Christ Church),
he was also an active member of the Sierra Madre
Kiwanis Club since his arrival into town in 1968.

He is survived by his wife Dottie, sons Eric, Bryan
and Jayme who were raised in the city and 5
grandchildren.

When Rev. Anderson retired from the Ministry
in 2008, Craig Haikola wrote a tribute to him which
originally appeared in this paper. It captured the essence
of who Rev. Anderson was and why he was so
beloved in this community. You can read an excerpt
from it on page 2.

A Celebration of Rev. Anderson's life will be held
at a late date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
his name can be made to: https://pushpay.com/g/
