Free on-air publicity for local events 
Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts 
for Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. 
PSAs will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 
24/7 and can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial. 
Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have 
their event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre 
Community Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra 
Madre, plus surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 
Your event must: 
• 
Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity 
• 
Be open to the public 
• 
Be of general interest to local citizens 
Just write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event 
and e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com.

JULY 4TH PARADE 
REGISTRATION 


The Sierra Madre 4th of July Parade isan annual tradition that is an integralpart of the Sierra Madre community! Thishometown parade features communitymembers, organizations, classic cars, amarching band, kids on their decoratedbikes and so much more. Join us for the 
2015 parade on Saturday, July 4, from10:00am – 12:00 pm. The parade route willbegin at the corner of Sierra Madre Blvd.
and Sunnyside Avenue, and will travel thelength of Sierra Madre Blvd. to Sierra VistaPark. 

Parade participation is open to all;
young, young-at-heart, and everything inbetween. There is NO FEE to participatein the parade this year thanks to asponsorship from the The Kensington. Ifyou are interested in participating in the4th of July parade, please visit the 4th ofJuly Website for online registration.

2015 SIERRA MADRE 
FOURTH OF JULY 
FIRECRACKER FUN RUN 
REGISTRATION 

Sierra Madre, CA. – The Spero Foundationwill be hosting their fifth annual “FireCracker Fun Run” as part of the SierraMadre Fourth of July Festivities. This is an“unofficial 5K event,” but a running clockis provided. We welcome runners andwalkers of all ages. Walkers with strollersand dogs on leashes are encouraged toparticipate as this is a true communityevent! 

The Firecracker Fun Run is held on 
Saturday, July 4, 2015. Check-in andregistration is at Kersting Court from7:00am-7:45am the morning of the race.
The race begins at 8:00am.

Registration is available online at www.
cityofsierramadre.com/onlineregistrationand begins Monday, May 4, 2015. Priorto June 15th registration costs for adultsare $21.00 and youth under 10 are $16.00.
After June 15th the cost is $26.00 per entryregardless of age. If you pre-register onlinebefore June 15, you will be guaranteed at-shirt. For registrations taken June 15 
or after, race t-shirts are available untilsupplies run out.

All participants will receive a custom2015 Firecracker Fun Run medal! Also as 
a new twist- this year there will be awardsfor the “Best-Showing” of RED, WHITE& BLUE- so show your support for theStars and Stripes. We highly encourageeveryone to dress up and show theirpatriotism with the most creative outfitpossible.

The Spero Foundation was formed in 
2009 to raise awareness, bringing hopeto people in need. In the last year theFoundation has donated over $28,000 to 
support local community programs anddelivered over 50 food baskets duringthe holiday season to families in our owncommunity. 100% of the proceeds fromthis event will support their Holiday FoodBasket Program. Hope is not our wish…itis our goal.
