1630 AM EMERGENCY RADIO & 

Free on-air publicity for local events

 Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts for 
Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. PSAs 
will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 24/7 and 
can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial.

 Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their 
event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community 
Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus 
surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 

Your event must:

• Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity
• Be open to the public
• Be of general interest to local citizens


Just 
write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event and 
e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com.

REMEMBRANCE

BENJIE FREIBERGER

Benjie Freiberger, 57, died 
peacefully on Wednesday Oct 
26th surrounded by his family 
at his home in Sierra Madre CA 
after a very sudden and brief 
battle with cancer. 

Ben was born in Encino to 
Fred and Shirley Freiberger. 
He attended Denver University 
and Cal State Northridge. He 
married the love of his life, 
Leslie Lindenblatt, in 1990.
Benjie was president and CEO 
of TalentproBDS, A Breakdown 
Services Company. He created, 
developed and oversaw the 
innovative program which is the 
number one talent representative 
software application. 

 Benjie will be remembered as 
an extremely devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin 
and friend to many who adored him. He was a respected and 
prominent member of the Sierra Madre community. He was 
the founder and coordinator of the The Sierra Madre Golf 
Tournament to benefit the Sierra Madre Elementary and 
Middle Schools. 

 Starting in the mail room at CAA, Ben worked for years as a 
talent agent and manager, including stints at Harris/Goldberg 
(Innovative Artists), Catalina Productions, The Harry Gold 
Agency (Talent Works), and his own company, Freiberger 
Management.

 Ben is survived by his wife Leslie, his three children Jack (20), 
12-year old twins Sam & Lindsey, sister Lisa and niece, Lacey.

Sierra Madre. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building.
