"BE THE LIGHT"
SIERRA MADRE
ONE COMMUNITY
MANY FAITHS
WORKING TOGETHER
The holiday season generally brings out the
best in us and nowhere is that more evident
than the celebrations that take place at various
locations throughout the city, especially in the
heart of Sierra Madre - Kersting Court.
Starting with the placement in Kersting Court
of the Creche - The Nativity Scene, and the
Menorrah commemorating Hanukkah - the
arrival of the mythical Santa Claus and the
lighting of the symbolic Christmas Tree -
the Candlelight Walk to the Manger and the
lighting of the Menorrah late in December,
Kersting Court is the epicenter for our expressions
of 'the Reason For The Season' including
Christians, Jews and Everyone, all celebrating
together.
"....To be able to sing songs, see the light in children's
eyes and adults alike is so special...", said
one community leader. The gatherings at all
of these events is unforgettable and it happens
every year. Let us remember that as we enter
into 2025.....
