HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS After traveling more than 1200 miles on his bike, Sierra Madre resident Jerry Poole (above with wife Vicki, made it home in time to celebrate the holidays with his family! Although the weather prevented him from cycling the entire 3,000 miles, he rode more than 1/3 of the way. He encountered many wonderful and generous people who supported his efforts. He embarked on this journey with the intent of raising $10,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project. Everyone in his family is engaged in this. His youngest son, Andrew, a high school student, will be selling WWP wristbands over the holiday break. His oldest son, David, is a full time member of the Air National Guard and recently held a rib lunch fund raiser to help Jerry reach his goal. Won’t you help Jerry reach his goal? Read about Jerry’s experiences on Facebook. Like his Facebook page and follow the link to the Wounded Warriors Project. The fund raising goal for this project is $10,000 and 100% of the funds go to the Wounded Warriors benefit. Go to the link below and make a donation to WWP in the name of Jerry Poole’s Ride: Coast To Coast For Courage. https://support.woundedwarriorproject. org/individual-fundraising/ JerryPooleatFaceBook/ With what may have been the biggest smile in town on Christmas Day, Frosty the Snowman made his annual visit to Kersting Court. Despite the warmer than normal temperatures, Frosty wanted to delight the young and old as his buddies reassembled him. The ride to Sierra Madre had him “all shook up”, but unlike Humpty Dumpty, putting Frosty back together again was not a problem for his friends, Andrew Graper and Dave Forrester. Eventually the sun rearranged his fine physique, but not to worry, he’ll be back next year!
