Free on-air publicity for local events 
Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts for 
Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. PSAs 
will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 24/7 and 
can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial. 
Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their 
event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community 
Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus 
surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 
Your event must: 
• Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity 
• Be open to the public 
• Be of general interest to local citizensJust write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event and 
e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com.

Parade Registration is also OPEN now through June 1. Ifyou’d like to enter this hometown event, as an organizationor business or individual group featuring communitymembers, organizations, classic cars, a marching band, kidson their decorated bikes and so much more. Join us for the 
2017 parade on July 4, from 10:00am – 12:00 pm. The paraderoute will begin at the corner of Sierra Madre Blvd. andSunnyside Avenue, and will travel the length of Sierra MadreBlvd. to Sierra Vista Park. 

Parade participation is open to all; young, young-at-heart,
and everything in between. There is NO FEE to participatein the parade thanks to Official Sponsor of the 2017 Parade aThe Kensington. The Kensington-Sierra Madre is an assistedliving and memory care residence in the heart of Sierra 
Madre. The committee and community join us in thankingthem for their partnership this year as we work together 


to bring the community and outstanding All-AmericanCelebration.

Super Summer combines the LibraryÕs traditionalSummer Reading Program with Community ServicesÕactivities. Your passport allows you to earn prizes while youread books and have fun at Sierra MadreÕs Super SummerFestivities. 
First, pick up a passport at the Library or any City event. Next,
start stamping your passport by reading, attending events,
shopping local, and visiting local landmarks. The more stampsyou get in your passport, the better prizes you will earn,
culminating in a limited edition Sierra Madre item.
