EXHIBITION & ARTIST RECEPTION

The City of Sierra Madre Community Arts Commission is
pleased to present an Arts Exhibition by Halcyon Koerber.
The Exhibition by Halcyon Koerber is now on display through
Thursday, November 17, 2011. Community members are invited
to an Artist Reception on Friday, Friday, October 14 from
6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Sierra Madre City Hall (232 East
Sierra Madre Blvd.). The event is open to the public and light
refreshments will be served.

“I like to draw (mostly) portraits in pastel. I like the medium
because of the immediate color achieved. It is dusty and messy
and fragile. It can be easily smeared and erased which helps me
remember that we are created from dust and it is to dust we shall
return.” - Halcyon Koerber

For more information please call the Sierra Madre Community &
Personnel Services Department at (626) 355-5278.

Water Aerobics

Sierra Madre Aquatic Center is continuing water aerobics
into the fall season! The benefits of water exercise include
low impact, resistance, and cardiovascular training in a
fun environment. Water Aerobics can be taken by people
of all ages, and is especially beneficial for those seeking a
low to no impact workout. Exercising in water also reduces
overheating from continuous training and since we conduct
the class in the shallow end you do not need to be a strong
swimmer. For more information, please call 626-355-5278.

 Days: Tuesday & Thursday
