The City of Sierra Madre gives notice, pursuant to State of California law, that the City Council will conduct a public hearing 
in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation, on September 27, 2011 for first reading of Ordinance 
1321, adopting weight limit restrictions on five roadway bridges within the City:

Bridge No. 53C1033 Camillo Street at Sierra Madre Wash - 21 Tons

Bridge No. 53C1034 Woodland Drive at Sierra Madre Wash (Lower) – 22 Tons

Bridge No. 53C1036 Acacia Street at Sierra Madre Wash – 23 Tons

Bridge No. 53C1037 Las Rocas Drive at Sierra Madre Wash – 23 Tons

Bridge No. 53C1038 Sycamore Place@ Sierra Madre Wash – 23 Tons

A hearing will be held on an engineering investigation of these structures looking toward the establishment of load limits, 
and other evidence will be heard that may be offered to determine and declare the maximum load limits for these bridges.

The City of Sierra Madre gives notice, pursuant to State of California law, that the City Council will conduct a public 
hearing to consider a resolution adopting a revised fee schedule regarding the plan check and permit fees associated with 
commercial solar (photovoltaic) systems. The revised fee schedule would use a fee calculator based on the size (kilowatt) 
of the commercial solar system and the process review time.

JOIN WOMEN AT WORK AND MEET 
POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS

Women At Work presents our most popular event, the Employer Forum on Wednesday, 
September 21 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We have invited local businesses, large and 
small, to participate by sharing about their company and job openings. Attendees 
will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with representatives from businesses 
such as Caltech, Kaiser Permanente, VONS/Safeway, LAPD, Pasadena Unified 
School District, Staples and more to hear about job opportunities and current 
openings. Attendees should bring resumes and come dressed for interviews. There 
is a $5.00 fee for this event.

Women At Work is a nonprofit career center offering career counseling, computer 
access and job seeking skills. The organization provides numerous workshops as well 
as classes in computer programs in both English and Spanish, in a small environment.
