Mother Nature provided a perfect day for the 2014 Wistaria Festival after several years of rainy and 
unpredictable weather. 

The Chamber of Commerce, sponsor of the event was please with the results as the event brought 
literally thousands into town to not only view the vine that resides on property owned by Bob and 
Nel Solt, and the adjacent house owned by Tony Held, it also brought customers to our local businesses. 
“It was the busiest day we have ever had”, said one local merchant. 

The goal of the festival is to showcase Sierra Madre and encourage visitors to come back and visit 
our historic sites and shop. 

Volunteers from every Sierra Madre service organization participated.
