Base
bid
project

be
constructed
consists

removal
and
disposal
of
the
existing
curbs
in
twenty-two
(22)
locations
in
the
City
of
SierraMadre.
Following
the
removal
of
the
existing
curbs,
ADA
compliant
curb
ramps
will
be
installed.
The
project
will
be
awarded
on
the
basis
of
thelowest
BaseBid.
The
Additive
AlternateBid
project
tobeconstructed
consists
of
theremoval
and
disposal
of
the
existingcurbs
ineleven
(11)
additional
locations
inthe
City
of
Sierra
Madre.
Following
the
removal
of
the
existing
curbs,
ADA
compliant

ramps
will
be

Public
Contract
Code
§§
20170
and
20171,
all
bids
for
the
project
shall
be
presented,
undersealed
coverandshallbe
accompaniedby
oneofthefollowingforms
of
bidder’ssecurity
in
the
amount
often
percent
(10%)
of
the
bid:
(a)
cash;(b)
a
cashier’s
check
made
payable
to
the
City
of
Sierra
Madre;
(c)
a
certified
check

payable

City

Madre;
or
(d)
a
bidder’s
bondexecuted

an
admitted
surety
insurer

Such
security
shall
be
forfeited
should

successful
bidder

contract

execute

Agency
has
determined
that
the
proposed
project
is
a
public
works
subject

the
provisions

Contractor

prevailing

rates

Labor
Code
Section

federally
assisted
construction
contracts

require
compliance

the

Act

This
construction
project
is
being
funded
in
whole
or
in
part
with

Department
of
Housing
&
Urban
Development
(HUD)

Community

Grant
(CDBG)
funds.
Federal
Labor
Standards
Provisions
(HUD-4010
form),
including
the
prevailing
wage
requirements
of
the
Davis-Bacon
&
Related
Acts
(DBRA),
will
be
enforced.
In
the
event
of
a
conflict
between
Federal
Regulations
and
State
Law
prevailing
wage
requirement,
the
higher
of
the
two
will
prevail.
