The event will be held at The Frostig Center on Friday, October 28, 1-3 p.m. Representatives from government and non-profit agencies will be on hand to share information about their programs and answer questions. “The fair is organized to help young people with learning challenges,” said Jennifer Quirina-White, the transition director at Frostig School. “There are many excellent programs that can help teens and young adults succeed after high school, but it can be difficult to track them all down. With the fair, we gather a multitude of agencies under one roof.” The participating organizations include a half dozen local community colleges and Landmark College, a Vermont school that serves students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder and other learning challenges. Other organizations specialize in career readiness and vocational education. These include Exceptional Minds, Best Buddies, Tierra del Sol Foundation, Life Development Institute and East San Gabriel Valley Regional Occupational Program. The Frostig Center is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of children with learning differences through an integrated program of research, professional development and community outreach, and Frostig School.
