The Jaguars improve their record to 6-1-1

Sierra Madre, CA (February 2,
2017) – The Alverno Jaguars faced
the Sacred Heart Comets in their
final home game of the regular
season. The Jaguars celebrated
their Senior Farewell with a 4-0
victory over the Comets and
improved their record to 6-1-1 (8-
4-2 overall).

 The Jaguars dominated the
match with 7 shots on goal and
a corner kick in the first half and
8 shots on goal and a corner kick
in the second half. The Jaguars
defense did not allow a single shot
on goal and only gave up 1 corner
kick. Junior goalkeeper Ayanna
Melin (1) recorded her fifth clean
slate of the season.

 After 35 scoreless minutes,
sophomore midfielder Megan
Cavender (22) passed to
sophomore midfielder Beatriz

senior defender Nicole Lianto
(6) connected a pass to freshman
forward Nancy Alcala (15) for the
