The Board of Supervisors has directed County
Departments to develop cannabis regulations
for the unincorporated areas. The County
convened eighteen listening sessions to hear
suggestions and concerns from unincorporated
communities. Fellow Town Council Member

front side had one or
two “discussion topics” and extensive background.
On the back were several questions pertainingto the topic and each of us voiced our opinions/
concerns.

I jotted down a lot of good info. It was very
interesting to see how people felt and how
different their ideas were-but that depended
on their background. For instance, one lady
had serious medical issues. There had been
discussion on whether one could use marijuana
while driving. Someone said the smell of
cannabis made them nauseous. What if your
neighbor used it and the odor was blown into
your yard?

There isn’t enough space to do justice to this
topic and the comments I heard. PLEASE VISIT
cannabis.lacounty.gov/listening-sessions.
