Supervisor Kathryn
Barger Presents ‘Live
at the Arboretum’

Royal Wedding Celebration
Tea at Crowell Library

 Anglophiles far and
wide are swooning in
anticipation for May 19th,
when His Royal Highness
Prince Henry (“Harry”) of
Wales will marry Southern
California native Meghan
Markle at Windsor Castle
in the United Kingdom.
But one does not have to
fly to England to properly
celebrate the royal wedding.
Crowell Public Library will
honor the royal couple in
style with a Royal Wedding
Celebration Tea on Saturday
May 12th 2018, at 3:30 pm.
The menu includes tea
served in delicate china
cups, finger sandwiches,
and scones. Participants can
poise their pinkies just as
they would at Claridge’s: all
fancy attire and accessories
such as hats, jewelry, gloves,
and scarves are encouraged.
And those who wear a fancy
hat fit for the queen are
welcome to enter the Fancy
Hat Contest. After this fine
British tradition of afternoon
tea, attendees will have the
opportunity to make their
own fascinator and impress
friends with their noble
knowledge during the Royal
Family Trivia Game.

Fifth in line to the throne,
Prince Harry and Ms.
Markle’s marriage will be
the first one of its kind. The
venue will change from the
popular Westminster Abbey
to St. George’s Chapel at
Windsor Castle, where they
will nosh on lemon and
elderflower cake instead of
British fruit cake, and it is
rumored Meghan’s bridal
party will be slightly larger
than Kate Middleton’s
for her wedding in 2011.
Individuals from all around
the world look forward to
celebrating the love, history,
and tradition along with
Harry and Meghan and their
loved ones this May.

 Registration for this Royal
Wedding Celebration Tea is
required as space is limited
and will fill up quickly. Please
note that this program is
intended for adults only.
Come to Crowell Library
on Saturday May 12 to
commemorate this historic
occasion and have a spot of
tea!

 Los Angeles County
Supervisor Kathryn Barger
proudly presents the second
annual summer concert festival
“Live at the Arboretum” with
country star and veterans’
advocate Trace Adkins on
Saturday, June 16 at 7pm at the
Los Angeles County Arboretum
and Botanical Gardens.

 Tickets start at $15 and
gates open for picnic dining at
5:30pm. This summer’s Live at
the Arboretum concert follows
the success of the inaugural
2017 debut with LeAnn Rimes,

Barger, the Los Angeles
County Department of Parks
& Recreation, the Los Angeles
Arboretum Foundation and the
Pasadena POPS.

 A three-time Grammy-
nominated member of the
Grand Ole Opry, Trace Adkins’
trademark baritone has
powered countless hits to the
top of the charts. A veritable
jack of all trades, Trace is a TV
personality, actor, author, and
most proudly a spokesman for
the Wounded Warrior Project
and the American Red Cross,
for whom he raised more than
$1.5 million dollars as winner
of NBC’s All-Star Celebrity
Apprentice. In recent years,
Adkins has performed for our
service men and women across
12 USO Tours. Adkins’ film
credits include The Lincoln
Lawyer, Deepwater Horizon
and Moms’ Night Out .

 Spacious circular table seating
with linens and lawn seating are
both available for picnicking.
The venue also features a
variety of food trucks and two
beverage centers serving fine
wines, beer, coffee and soft
drinks.

Tickets are available for $15,
$25, $35, and $55 and are
available by calling the box
office at (626) 793-7172,
online at PasadenaSymphony-
Pops.org, or at the Arboretum
on the day of the concert.

 The LA County Arboretum is
located 301 N Baldwin Ave.

 Gates open at 5:30pm for
picnicking. Guests are welcome
to bring their own food and
drink or visit one of the many
onsite food vendors.

 Parking is available onsite at
the Arboretum.

With Grammy-
nominated Country
Star Trace Adkins,
