1630 AM EMERGENCY RADIO & 

Free on-air publicity for local events

 Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts 
for Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. 
PSAs will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 
24/7 and can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial.

 Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their 
event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community 
Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus 
surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 

Your event must:

• Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity
• Be open to the public
• Be of general interest to local citizens


Just 
write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event 
and e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com. 

SIERRA MADRE POLICE BLOTTER

During this period, the Sierra Madre Police Department responded 
to approximately 298 day and night time calls for service. 

Wednesday, May 16 

A resident from the 200 block of Olivera Lane filed a report at 
the police station that between 9:00AM and 3:00PM two packages 
that were delivered and left on her front porch were both missing. 
Unknown person(s) apparently took both packages sometime 
shortly after delivery. Case to Detectives for follow up. 

Thursday, May 24 

At about 9:35PM, officers responded to the Sierra Madre PD front 
lobby in regards to a runaway juvenile that had returned home. 
Following the interview process, the juvenile was also issued a 
citation for possession of cannabis. 

Saturday, May 26 

In the 00 block of E. Sierra Madre Bl. at about 10:23PM, a traffic 
stop of a vehicle where the driver of the vehicle was found to be 
driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic 
beverage. The driver was arrested and later transported to the 
Pasadena Jail where he was later released on a citation. 

Sunday, May 27 

Officers responded to a call of a traffic collision with injuries at 
about 9:41PM at S. Mountain trail and Sierra Madre Bl. When the 
officers arrived a vehicle collided with a bicycle and the bicyclist 
hit his head and was bleeding. It was determined that the bicyclist 
had been drinking.
