Arcadia High’s Class of 2023 Earns
Rare 100 Percent Graduation Rate
Arcadia, CA - June 8, 2023 - Arcadia High School is proud to announce an outstanding
achievement as its Class of 2023 celebrates a remarkable 100 percent graduation rate. With
all 735 of its seniors set to receive their diplomas, Arcadia High School continues to demonstrate
its commitment to academic excellence and student success. A 100 percent graduation
rate is rare, especially for such a large high school with more than 3,000 students enrolled.
The last time a 100 percent graduation rate was achieved by the Apaches was in 2018.
Arcadia High’s graduation ceremony will take place tonight at the historic Santa Anita Park,
providing a memorable and picturesque backdrop for this momentous occasion. The students,
their families, and the entire Arcadia community are invited to come together to
celebrate the accomplishments of these exceptional individuals.
Under the dedicated leadership of Principal Dr. Angela Dillman, Arcadia High School has
consistently nurtured an environment of learning and growth, encouraging students to
reach their full potential. Dr. Dillman expressed her enthusiasm about this milestone.
"We are immensely proud of our seniors in the Class of 2023 for their hard work, determination,
and commitment to excellence. Their 100 percent graduation rate reflects the collective
effort of our students, teachers, staff, and families. It is a testament to the unwavering support
and guidance provided within our school community."
These exceptional Arcadia High graduates will now embark on a new chapter in their lives
as they pursue their dreams at some of the most prestigious universities in the country. Their
academic accomplishments have earned them acceptance into several Ivy League schools,
plus Stanford, UC Berkeley, Duke, NYU, and numerous other esteemed institutions across
the nation.
Notably, Arcadia High’s Class of 2023 boasts a remarkable valedictorian, Weber Lin, who
will be attending Stanford in the fall to pursue a degree in bioengineering. Additionally,
129 salutatorians will join their fellow classmates on stage, having demonstrated excellence
throughout their high school years in both academics and citizenship. Each salutatorian has
achieved a minimum 3.93 GPA, showcasing their commitment to scholastic achievement.
Arcadia High School remains in the top one percent of best public high schools in California,
ac-cording to Niche. U.S. News and World Report has named Arcadia High a Gold Medal
School three times. This is an honor bestowed on less than 3 percent of the more than 19,000
schools in the country. Similarly, the College Board has placed Arcadia Unified School District
on its pres-tigious annual AP® District Honor Roll for two consecutive years (2017 and
2018) in recognition of its continued, impressive offering of Advanced Placement and Honors
curriculum. For more information about Arcadia High School, visit ahs.ausd.net.

Celebrate the Best of
Summer at Kidspace
Campout
PASADENA, CA (June 6, 2023)
Kidspace Children’s Museum brings back
its popular celebration of iconic American
summer pastimes at Kidspace Campout.
The summer-long celebration begins June
9 and goes through Labor Day weekend.
“Summer is the perfect time for family
and friends to come together to enjoy longer,
slower days, explore the outdoors, and
gather around picnic blankets and campfires,”
said Kidspace CEO Lisa Clements.
“Kidspace Campout is an imaginative celebration
of traditional pastimes like summer
camp, road trips, and water play, that
make treasured memories and connect us
to nature and to the people we care about
most.”
Along with Campout, the museum will
open its newest permanent exhibit, Arroyo
Pequeño, an extension of the Arroyo
Adventure that delves into the delicate
ecosystem of the Arroyo Seco. Guests are
invited to play in cool pools of water and
observe the signs of native wildlife that inhabit
the local area.
“While the Arroyo Stream encourages
adventurous exploration, splashing, and
large-motor physical play, the addition of
Arroyo Pequeño invites children to slow
down and engage with the water in new
ways,” said Clements. “This space opens
up a new world of play in an immersive
natural environment.”
Arroyo Pequeño is just one of many hands-
on activities at the summertime celebration.
Kidspace Campout encourages kids
and families to explore, create, play, and
try new things. Highlights include:
• Road trip! Navigate your trike over
the "Golden Gate Bridge" and through a
tunnel on your way to adventure.
• Kirby’s Pit Stop. Take a detour at
Kirby’s to charge up your “vehicle” or drive
through the “carwash.”
• Creative Campgrounds. Whether
you prefer a tent in the “woods” or a
camper with a “lake” view, we’ll provide
everything you need to create your fantasy
campsite.
• Camp Craft Cabin. Makers are invited
to get crafty—create your own camp
nametags, try weaving with natural materials,
and much more.
• Go fish. Put on your life vest, grab
a net, and go “fishing” in Winding Willow
Lake, our blue-sand play area with a real
boat (and whimsical toy fish).
• Campfire Sing-Along. Gather
‘round our fanciful “campfire” for traditional
and silly campfire songs and
activities.
In addition to the special Kidspace Campout
events and activities, families can enjoy
their favorite Kidspace features including
spinning on the Los Trompos exhibit,
building roadways at Ramps & Rollers,
and getting hands-on with science in our
Physics Forest.
Guests can visit kidspacemuseum.org to
reserve general admission tickets for Kidspace
Campout, sign up for a Family Membership,
and discover more about Kidspace
year-round. Follow Kidspace Children’s
Museum on Instagram and Facebook for
the latest announcements and updates.
