JUDGES: The Editor of this publication feels that politicizing our Judicial by subjecting them to election
by the public is unconscionable since even the most astute political followers have very little information on
the qualifications of the Judge. TV Ads and Commercials are limited to those who can afford it, and by the
way, to run a campaign, it costs more than a Judges annual salary. Our society might be better served if we
developed a process whereby Judges are selected by their peers or legal organizations who are well aware of
the ‘candidates’ background and abilities.

That being said, MVNews is endorsing the following candidates for Judge:

Office No. 39 George Turner

Office No. 48 Erica Wong

Office No. 97 La Shae Henderson (No Relation)

Office No. 135 Steven Yee Mac

Office No. 137 Tracey M, Blount

STATE MEASURES:

2 YES - BOND FOR SCHOOLS

3 YES - RIGHT TO MARRY

4 YES DRINKING WATER/FIRE REVENTION

5 YES AFFORDABLE HOUSE

6 YES INCARCERATE LABOR

32 NO MINIMUM WAGE

33 YES RENT CONTROL

34 NO PRESCRIPTION DRUGS

35 YES MEDICAL FUNDING

36 YES INCRESAED SENTENCING

COUNTY MEASURES:

MEASURE A YES

A "yes" vote supports repealing the Measure H tax and replacing it with a sales tax of 0.5% with revenue
going to affordable housing, mental health and addiction treatment, and services to children, families,
veterans, domestic violence survivors, seniors, and disabled people experiencing homelessness.

MEASURE G NO

Shall the measure amending the Los Angeles County Charter to create an elected County Executive;
create an independent Ethics Commission to increase restrictions on lobbying and investigate misconduct;
establish a nonpartisan Legislative Analyst to review proposed County policies; increase the Board of
Supervisors from five to nine elected members; require County departments to present annual budgets in
public meetings; using existing funding sources with no additional taxes to implement, as detailed in the
charter amendment ordinance, be adopted?
