S.M.F.D. SWEEPS CHILI COOK-OFF!

Last Saturday, for the 
first time in the Kiwanis 
Club of Sierra Madre's 
Chili - Cook Off 

history, both the Celebrity 
Award and the People's 
Choice Award were 
won by the same group!

The event, established 
in 2011 to support Kiwanis 
charitable activities, 
this year's event was 
renamed the PERGOLA 
CHILI COOK OFF in 
honor of Kiwanian Joe 
Pergola who came up 
with the idea.

This year's event had 
6 entries including 
an entry from Corfu 
Catering.

over the food tasting.

SPECIAL ELECTION NEWS:

Sierra Madre In-Person Voting 
On Prop 50* Begins 

November 1st

Vote-by-mail ballots for the State's Special 
Election were sent out to voters at the beginning 
of October. 

Completed ballots may be returned by mail 
in the postage-paid envelope or deposited in 
the drop box outside City Hall. 

In-person voting will begin in Sierra Madre 
on November 1, 2025 at Sierra Madre Middle 
School Gymnasium. 

The Vote Center will be open from 10:00 am 
to 7:00 pm leading up to the election. 

On Election Day, November 4, the Vote Center 
will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
