by the Planning Commission following a public hearing held on September 18, 2025. The purpose of the ordinance is 
general clean-up providing clarification on temporary signs and creative signs.

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed amendments to Chapter 17.72 (Signs*) of Title 17 (Zoning) of the 
Sierra Madre Municipal Code are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) under 14 CCR 15061(b)
(3)(common sense exemption) where it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the proposed amendments
may have a significant effect on the environment.

the issues that were raised or presented in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or before, the scheduled

to consider Ordinance no. 1486 – to adopt and amend the 2025 California Fire Code and 2025 California Wildland Urban 
Interface Code. This notice is provided as a correction to a notice provided on October 4, 2025, which had erroneously referred 
to the adoption and amendments to the 2025 International Fire Code.
