LA COUNTY UNVEILS CONCIERGE PROGRAM TO 
SPEED ALTADENA FIRE RECOVERY 

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Los Angeles County announced today a new concierge program to 
help Altadena businesses and commercial property owners rebuild faster after the Eaton Fire.

 The Altadena Commercial Concierge Program will provide expedited permitting, one-onone 
technical assistance and connections to recovery resources, according to county officials.

 Businesses and commercial property owners who enroll will be paired with dedicated 
representatives to help navigate the county permitting process and coordinate with agencies 
including Public Works and Regional Planning. Officials said the program aims to reduce 
permitting approval times by 25%.

 Participants also will be matched with business consultants who will conduct individual 
assessments, develop customized recovery plans and connect businesses with financing, 
technical assistance and training through a new Altadena Commercial Recovery Partnership, 
officials said.

 ``Altadena's small businesses are anchors in this community, employing neighbors and 
offering commercial corridors that meet local needs,'' Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn 
Barger said in a statement. ``This program will help ensure business owners do not have to 
navigate recovery alone. By putting a dedicated team directly in their corner that will stay with 
them until their rebuilding journey ends, we are giving Altadena businesses the fighting chance 
they deserve to recover.''

 Kelly LoBianco, director of the Department of Economic Opportunity, said the initiative 
combines expedited permitting with direct access to county and community resources to 
provide businesses with ``a clearer, faster path to recovery.''

 The program stems from a motion introduced by Barger in December 2025 to accelerate 
commercial recovery efforts in Altadena following the Eaton Fire.

LONG FESTIVITIES CULMINATING 
IN JULY 4 EVENT 

ARCADIA, CA – The City of Arcadia invites residents and visitors to join month-long 
activi-ties commemorating America’s 250th anniversary, culminating in a community-
wide patriotic event on Saturday, July 4, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Santa Anita Park. 

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA, Arcadia will bring the community 
together throughout June and July with a variety of activities designed to honor the 
nation’s history, celebrate local pride, and recognize the brave individuals who have 
served our country. 

Leading up to America’s 250th Celebration on July 4, residents are encouraged to 
participate in the variety of themed festivities, including: 

• June 27: 1776 by David McCullough – A book discussion at the Arcadia Public 
Library 
• June 29: Stars, Stripes & Sidewalk Chalk Decorations -Decorate your driveway, 
post a photo, and tag us @ArcadiaCAgov 
• July 1: Liberty Loot Crawl - Dress patriotic and visit any City facility between 
2-4pm for a free treat 
• July 1: Children’s Firework Salt Painting & Trivia – Firework salt craft and 
trivia at the Arcadia Public Library 
• July 2: Patriotic Picnic – A 50+ event at the Arcadia Community Center 
• July 2: Patriotic Pet Contest and Summer Concert & Movie in the Park - Dress 
your pet to impress and enter them in our patriotic pet contest before the 
concert and movie in the park 
The grand finale, America’s 250th Celebration, is on July 4 at Santa Anita Park! This 
free, family-friendly event will feature live music by The Answer on the main stage and 
local youth band, Asian Death Stare, in the kid’s area, free carnival games, watermelon 
and baby crawling contests, food concessions, community booths, and a patriotic drone 
show! Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a meaningful “Letters 
to Service Members” station, where guests can write messages of appreciation and 
encouragement to active-duty military personnel. 

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the drone show will begin at 9 p.m. Special thanks to our
