My new Radio Gig is taking me on a weekly basis 
to the OC, the Orange Curtin the 714, not that I’m 
complaining there are many great restaurants in 
that area, just this past Sunday Night I stopped at 
the Catch Restaurant right across from Angels Stadium and had a glass of Estancia Chardonnay, the 
bartender said it was her best value on the wine by the glass program. Though for a review a full bottle 
was in order, the price point is right on spot at $11 a bottle at my local Vons, I opened the ice cold 
bottle let it breathe for a good hour and poured it into a chilled glass. The breathing worked, I was very 
impressed with the straw color and the slight fruitiness of my first and last taste. I was surprised with 
the spicy overtone --that told me that this wine was best paired with a roasted chicken, grilled shrimp 
or even a fish dinner. 

Estancia is located in 
Monterey County, seems 
more and better wines are 
coming from that region. 
The Estancia Chardonnay 
was an easy drinking 
Chardonnay that was 
equally easy on the wallet (I 
like that). While the wine is 
not quite perfect, I do thing 
that Estancia has brought 
us a really great value with 
this wine. So, if you are in 
Pasadena or the OC stock 
up on this wine if you can 
find it for less then $10 a 
bottle go for it !!! My new favorite chardonnay for the price.
