SIERRA MADRE POLICE BLOTTER 

May 2, 2021 to May 8, 2021During this period the Sierra Madre Police Department 
responded to 141 calls for service. 

Theft from vehicles On 05-05-2021 at 6:04PM, officers responded to the lobby 

of the police station regarding a theft report. The victim said he discovered the 
glove compartment in his car parked in the 200 block of N. 
Mountain Trail Ave. had been ransacked. The victim’s backpack 
containing several personal items and paper work 
were taken from his car. 


Sometime between 5-5-21 at 5:30PM and 5-6-21 at noon, 
unknown suspect(s) entered the victims unlocked vehicle 
parked in the driveway, ransacked and took several personal 
items from the vehicle. Cases to Detectives 

Traffic Collision 
On 5-6-21 at 5:37PM officers responded to a two car non-
injury collision in the 100 block of W. Orange Grove Ave. 

Grand Theft 
On 5-7-21 officers met with a resident that filed a Grand 
Theft report. The victim stated that the suspect she met on 
social media, asked for a loan of a large amount of money 
with the promise of paying the victim back. The load has 
not been repaid following several requests for payment.
Case to Detectives 

Bicycle Theft 
On 5-8-21 at 11:18PM, a resident in the 100 block of E. Sierra 
Madre Bl. reported that a bicycle locked in the carport 
had been stolen. Case to Detectives
