BUBBLES DOG RESCUE
FUNDRAISER IN SOUTH
PASADENA SATURDAY,
APRIL 15

Dine, dance, listen to music
and bid on auction
items while saving rescue
dogs and helping them
find homes. Golden Oaks
Apartments, 1000 El Centro
St. in South Pasadena,
is hosting a fundraiser for
Bubbles Dog Rescue from
7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday,
April 15 in the building’s
club room. Party attire
is requested. Parking is
available on the street.

Robin Ortega, the building
manager, and her husband work with the rescue organization in transporting
and fostering dogs. “A couple of dogs that just touched my heart were euthanized recently,”
she said, “because there were no fosters available and not enough money to
support them.” She decided to hold a fundraiser to help the group save more dogs.

All proceeds from the event will go to Bubbles Dog Rescue to pay for medical treatment,
arrange for transportation and find temporary or permanent homes. Donors
are covering costs of catering and other expenses for the evening.

To RSVP, contact Ortega at 619-548-5050 or robin.e.ortega@gmail.com . Tickets
($55) can be purchased by Venmo, PayPal or Zelle on the website at https://bubblesdogrescue.
org .

Checks can be sent to Bubbles Dog Rescue, 1223 Wilshire Blvd., P.O. Box 337, Santa
Monica, CA 90403.

Donations to the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization are always welcome (Tax ID No.
88-0886274). Another way to help is to foster a dog.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE
HELP TESSIE?

Look into Tessie’s eyes and see a life of
lingering disappointment and uncer-
tainty. Have you ever had a good experience,
thought it would last, only to
find it didn’t. But, when one door closes, another opens, and you
find even more happiness—only, SLAM, the door closes again!
Your next experience is only mediocre, but tolerable, when suddenly
that life changes for the worse and you are disappointed again. This is what Tessie has experienced
through no fault of her own. This shy but sweet girl is now age 10 and is looking for a home that will
KEEP her and give her unconditional LOVE and patient pam-purr-ing to help her forget her sadness.
Yet, in true feline form and for-giveness, she has a lot of love to give to someone who will give
her her space and let her come around at her own pace.

PLEASE submit our adoption appli-cation and come and meet her. As the song from Cats says, “If
you touch me, you’ll understand what happiness is.” See more pictures of her on our web-site’s Adult
Cats page, www.lifelineforpets.org.

Pet of the Week

Muñeco is a handsome Husky who is sure to turn heads
wherever he goes. This beautiful boy loves being the center of
attention, so the double-takes and stares don’t bother him at
all. Paparazzi are just part of the game for this dude.

Thankfully, Muñeco is more than just a pretty face. His
name translates to “Sweetie”, and it’s perfect for him. He
loves everyone he meets and soaks in the pets and scratches.
His easy-going demeanor and laid-back attitude also vibe
well with the So Cal lifestyle that he deserves.

All large dogs’ adoption fee is reduced by 50% until April
11th. Come meet the movie star Muñeco today!

The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include
spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-
and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals,
as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.
View photos of adoptable pets and schedule an adoption appointment at
pasadenahumane.org. Adoptions are by appointment only, and new adoption
appointments are available every Sunday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone
calls or email.
