Christmas Tree Recycling and
Holiday Athens Schedule
Athens Services will provide free Christmas Tree removal service
for all Sierra Madre residents starting Monday, December 27th
- Friday, January 14th. Place your whole tree at curbside during
your regularly scheduled trash pick-up day as soon as possible
after Christmas Day.
For the next two weeks, Athens will pick-up trash, recycling, and
green waste on residents’ regularly scheduled day. There will not
be a one-day delay as Christmas Day and New Years Day fall on a
Saturday this year.
Please remove all stands from trees. Athens will not pick up trees
that have stands. Trees must be free of ornaments and the bulk of
tinsel must be removed. Trees that have been lightly flocked are
acceptable.
After January 14th, please call Athens Services at (888) 336-6100
