GARLIC CHICKEN WITH
CABBAGE

INGREDIENTS:

•1 whole chicken

•1 medium onion chopped

•3-8 garlic cloves or use garlic salt or garlic powder to you liking

• salt and pepper to taste

• 1 head cabbage

• 2 tablespoons butter

•pepper

DIRECTIONS:

Season chicken and place in slow cooker/Crock Pot. Add onion and garlice cloves and salt and pepper.
Fill slow cooker/Crock Pot 1/4-way with water, cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours. The chicken
should be tender and falling off of the bone.

During the last hour of cooking the chicken, cut up 1 head of green cabbage, core removed. Place
cabbage in a large pot with a shallow amount of water -- about 1/2- to 1 cup. Add two tablespoons of
butter and sprinkle generously with garlic salt and pepper. Cover and cook on medium high heat for
20 to 30 minutes, until tender; drain.

When chicken and cabbage are done, place some cabbage in a bowl and top with chicken and some
of the chicken broth. You can adjust any of the seasonings and the butter.
