CAMERON’S SEAFOOD

TABLE FOR TWO by Peter Dills

thechefknows@yahoo.com

Can you smell the clean Ocean breeze; hear the waves
falling on the sand. Read carefully for the captain of
the ship is bringing in the freshest catch of the day.
Do you remember that old Wives Tail, or was it my
dad that you to say, the closer to the ocean the worst
the seafood is? How can that be? Or another dozy,
is never go to a seafood restaurant on Sunday Night.
I have been going to Cameron’s Seafood Restaurant
on Colorado as far back as I can remember. Though
I must admit, not until recently did I delve into the
menu. I found myself going to the bar for that San
Francisco sourdough bread and the Elmer Dills’
approved Clam Chowder . By the way that is a heck
of an endorsement.

For over 30 years Cameron’s Seafood has been a
favorite in Pasadena. Inspired by the San Francisco
fish houses that sit upon the bay, Cameron’s Seafood
provides the just off the boat freshness that every
seafood lover is searching for.

So what to order? Just last week for dinner I started
off with Oysters from Virginia, and had a most
enjoyable succulent New Zealand Orange Roughy.
Ok Ok you have a meat eater in the midst; my dinner
companion had the Baseball steak that she swears
rivals the best steak in town. Plenty of salads as well.

. A menu fit for King Neptune! Another bonus is
free parking and I found the service is top notch.
