Thefts from Unlock Vehicles
Continue in Altadena

Police are warning residents that thefts from unlocked vehicles
have continued in Altadena, it is not an epidemic however it is
horrible if your car has items stolen from it. They are advising
to make sure that you are removing all valuable items from your
vehicle. Most of these crimes could be avoided if everyone locked
their car doors and keeps valuables out of sight. Unfortunately it is
common to see GPS units, wallets, purses even cash in plain sight
inside a vehicle, please help us protect your property.

You want to make your car less appealing to the thief, even hiding
valuable items under a towel or jacket does not prevent someone
from wanting to go inside your vehicle. By far it is best to lock
items in your trunk or remove them entirely.

 MAKE AN ONLINE POLICE REPORT
The following incidents can be reported online:
-Lost or stolen cell phone valued $950 or less
-Lost or stolen property valued $950 or less
-Theft from an unlocked vehicle valued $950 or less
-Theft from an open or unsecured area valued $950 or less
