LA SALLE NAMES ANDREW PANKOW 
INTERIM HEAD FOOTBALL COACH 

Pasadena, CA -- La Salle High School Principal,
Mrs. Courtney Kassakhian, announced that 
Andrew Pankow will be the Lancer’s Interim Head 
Football Coach for the 2018 season. 

“We are excited to have Coach Pankow take on 
this new position. He understands football andmore importantly, he understands La Salle football.
He is the right person to lead our program movingforward,” commented Kassakhian. 

Coach Pankow is a graduate of La Salle HighSchool and was a member of the Lancer’s CIF 
Finalist team in 2006. Coach Pankow continued his 
academic and athletic career at California Lutheran 
University, where he was a four-year starter on theoffensive line. At Cal Lutheran he was a two-time 
first team All SCIAC selection, third team All West 
Region and was named to numerous All-Americanlists. 

Coach Pankow graduated Cal Lutheran in2014 with a Bachelor in Sports Psychology andsubsequently joined the La Salle Football coachingstaff. He was hired as the Run-game Coordinatorand Offensive Line Coach and has held those roles 
for the past four years.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT DRIVE 



The Sports Business Organization at Arcadia HighSchool is holding a donation drive from March1 to March 20, for new and gently used sportsequipment. Students are collecting equipmentfor all sports, such as soccer balls, baseball bats,
batting helmets, newer cleats that no longer fit,
tennis racquets, or unused shin guards. All itemsfrom all sports are welcome. Donations should betaken to the collection box inside the front entryof Arcadia Public Library. Items will be donated toLA84, a grant making and educational foundationthat supports hundreds of non-profit youth sportsorganizations throughout Southern California.

The Arcadia High School Sports BusinessOrganization educates interested students about 

careers in the Sports Industry, including careers inentertainment and media around sports, positionsavailable in professional sports teams, sportsmerchandising, and the field of sports analytics.
Students learn the experience necessary for 
specific Sports Industry jobs and about successfulcompanies in the Industry.

LA84 was created with a share of the 1984 OlympicGame’s surplus. Annually, LA84 trains coaches,
commissions research, convenes conferences and 
maintains the world’s premier Olympic and sportslibrary collection.
