Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts 
for Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. 
PSAs will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 
24/7 and can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial. 
Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their 
event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community 
Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus 
surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 
Your event must: 
• Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity 
• Be open to the public 
• Be of general interest to local citizens 
Just write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event 
and e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com.

REMEMBRANCE 
DORIS KATHERINE BEHRENS 
Born April 11, 1931 
Passed away January 21, 2018 
Doris was born in Los Angeles,
California to Charles and MargaretLittrell. She grew up in Rosemeadand San Gabriel, attending San GabrielMission Grammar School and El Monte 
Union High School. She married 
Robert E. Behrens in November, 1951, 
at the San Gabriel Mission. Their 
first home was in Arcadia, in St. Luke’s 
Parish. They moved to Sierra Madre in1959, with their first four children. Two 
more followed. All six children attended 
St. Rita School, where Doris and Bob 
were very active in the parish. Doris 
loved music, movies, family gatherings,
playing cards and traveling. She alwayshad a smile on her face, and could make a friend anywhere she went.
Her last four months were spent at the Kensington in Sierra Madre,
where she enjoyed the loving staff and all the activities. Doris was 
preceded in death by her husband Bob (1990), and her sister Jean.
She is survived by her six children, Tom, Jerry, Ellen (Hoffman),
Rick, Sue and Steve, her eleven grandchildren and one great-
granddaughter. She will be greatly missed.
Viewing and Rosary at Cabot & Sons, Friday, February 2, at 6:00PM. Funeral Mass at St. Rita Church, Saturday, February 3, 10:00 
AM. Donations may be made in Doris’ name to: St. Rita Parish, 
Alverno Heights Academy or The Convalescent Aid Society.
