LORI E. DIMAGGIO (CHAPMAN)

JULY 16, 1962 – APRIL 23, 2018

 Lori E. DiMaggio (Chapman) passed 
away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at her 
home in Oceanside at the age of 55. Born 
in Pasadena, CA. to A. Scott and Diane 
Chapman she was raised in Sierra Madre. 
She attended Alverno Heights Academy and 
graduated with honors, Beta Gamma Sigma, 
at California State University, Bakersfield. 
Soon after Lori obtained her Real Estate 
Brokers license, which she kept active to 
date. Among her many accomplishments 
she was recognized as “Woman of the Year” 
by the Nation Association of Professional 
Women in 2010.

 Lori, along with her husband 
Richard, owned and operated DiMaggio 
Maintenance Construction in Oceanside. 
She is survived by her husband Richard, 
mother Diane Chapman, sisters Kathryn 
Ginter (Dan), Sheryl Sanchez (Tony), Nancy 
Chapman, step-son Matthew (RoseMarie), 
granddaughters Sophia and Macie, her four nephews Gregory, Sean, Nicolas 
and Antonio, in-laws Rick DiMaggio (Doris), Victor DiMaggio (Beth), Vito 
DiMaggio, Rodney DiMaggio and Darlene Abbott (Bill), along with numerous 
extended family. She is preceded in death by her father A. Scott Chapman. 

 Lori will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, love 
for her family and her love for animals. She was kind, gentle and generous and 
will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.

 Services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Andrews Catholic 
Church. The family is asking in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your 
favorite animal rescue.

1630 AM EMERGENCY RADIO & 

Free on-air publicity for local events

 Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts 
for Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. 
PSAs will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 
24/7 and can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial.

 Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their 
event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community 
Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus 
surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 

Your event must:

• Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity
• Be open to the public
• Be of general interest to local citizens


Just 
write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event 
and e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com. 


The Mt. Wilson Trail Race Training 
Group will be meet in Kersting 
Ct. every Saturday at 7:00 am 
beginning Saturday, February 3rd 
through Saturday, May 19th.

SIERRA MADRE POLICE BLOTTER

During this period, the Sierra Madre Police Department responded to 
approximately 3 30 day and night time calls for service. 

Saturday, May 5, A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation at about 10:04AM. 
During the interview process the driver admitted to having methamphetamine 
inside of his vehicle. The driver gave officers a consent to search his vehicle. 
Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found inside of the vehicle. 
The driver was arrested and transported to the Pasadena jail. Case to Detectives 

11:45AM A theft of personal items occurred from an unlocked vehicle in the 
200 block of Santa Anita Ct. by an unknown person(s). 

7:22PM Following a stop for an equipment violation in the 1300 block of N. 
Santa Anita Ave. the driver was not able to identify himself and said his driver’s 
license was suspended. The driver and passenger were later found to be in 
possession of narcotics and the passenger had a misdemeanor warrant. Both 
subjects were transported to the Pasadena Jail. Case to Detectives 

 

NOTE: Several drivers stopped during the week for various traffic violations 
were driving with either a suspended or expired license. Once again, please be 
aware of your driver’s license status!
