1630 AM EMERGENCY RADIO & 

Free on-air publicity for local events

 Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts 
for Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. 
PSAs will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 
24/7 and can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial.

 Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their 
event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community 
Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus 
surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 

Your event must:

• Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity
• Be open to the public
• Be of general interest to local citizens


Just 
write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event 
and e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com.

During this period, the Sierra Madre Police Department responded to 
approximately 329 day and night time calls for service.

Tuesday, September 11

At about 1:05AM, on S. Santa Anita Ave., a vehicle was stopped for 
a vehicle code violation. The driver provided false identification 
information to officers. It was later discovered the driver was unlicensed 
and in possession of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe.

Case to DA’s office

Wednesday, September 12

A man was contacted at about 7:14PM due to drinking in public and 
being intoxicated in the 00 block of W. Sierra Madre Bl. The man was 
subsequently arrested for public intoxication and for an additional 
outside warrant.

Thursday, September 13

Following a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation and during 
further investigation, the officer found the driver to be in possession 
of methamphetamine. The driver was arrested and transported to the 
Pasadena Jail and booked for the violations.

Friday, September 14

Between 4:58AM and 5:17AM, an unknown male subject entered the 
driveway in the 200 block of Grove St. The male subject was seen on 
video surveillance cameras attempt to open the driver's side door by 
pulling on the door handle. The suspect then fled the scene on a bicycle.

10:59AM

Officers responded to a call regarding a man who was causing a 
disturbance at a business in the 00 block of W. Sierra Madre Bl. The 
subject was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the 
Pasadena Jail.

3:03PM

Officers responded to a traffic collision where the vehicle crashed into 
a brick mailbox at a residence in the 100 block S. Rancho Rd. due to a 
medical emergency.

Sunday, September 16,

At approximately 5:10AM, video cameras showed an unknown male 
subject walk up the driveway in the 2000 block of Liliano Drive and 
enter an unlocked vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene.

No loss was reported.
