Overnight parking will now require a permit as it does on City streets. There will continue to be no permit or fees required for morning, afternoon, and evening use. The lots affected are: South Baldwin Public Parking Lot, Mariposa Public Parking Lot, Auburn Public Parking Lot, East Montecito Public Parking Lot. In addition to security considerations, the new regulations are expected to increase the equitability of parking availability and increase the parking options for those who intend to shop in Sierra Madre’s commercial district. A permit is required to park on a public parking lot between the hours of 3:00am and 5:00am. There is a 72-hour maximum as well as a two-ton maximum on each vehicle. Permits may be acquired from the City’s website at www.cityofsierramadre. com and selecting the “Parking” icon on the left menu. For additional information, please contact the Public Works Department at 626-355-7135.
