1630 AM EMERGENCY RADIO & 

Free on-air publicity for local events

 Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts 
for Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. 
PSAs will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 
24/7 and can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial.

 Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their 
event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community 
Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus 
surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 

Your event must:

• Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity
• Be open to the public
• Be of general interest to local citizens


Just 
write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event 
and e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com.

February 3, to February 9, 2020

During this period the Sierra Madre Police Department responded

to 324 calls for service.

Credit Card Skimmer

On 2-2-20 at 2:06AM in the 00 block of N. Baldwin Ave. officers responded 
to a business due to someone had damaged a gas pump card 
reader door and installed an illegal card reader (Skimmer).

Case to Detectives

Theft from a vehicle

A resident filed a report at the station on 2-3-20 at 8:37AM, that 
sometime between 2-2-20 at 8:30PM and 2-3-20 at 7:30AM, unknown 
suspect(s) cut and removed the catalytic converter from his 
vehicle that was parked at his residence in the 200 block of San Gabriel 
Ct. Case to Detectives

Vandalism

On 2-3-30 at 4:30PM officers responded to the 600 block of E. Sierra 
Madre Bl. for a report of vandalism. Apparently, unknown person(s) 
cut a pad lock off one of the gates. Nothing was reported missing 
from any buildings or vehicles in the area.

Drug Possession and Warrant Arrest

At 9:03pm on 2-3-30, a bicyclist was stopped by officers for a violation 
in the 300 block of W. Sierra Madre Bl. Following a field interview, 
it was determined that the subject had several warrants for his 
arrest and was in possession of methamphetamine. The subject was 
taken to the Pasadena Police Jail.

Case forwarded to the Pasadena DA’s office for filing.

D.U.I.

On 2-6-20 at 12:50AM, officers were dispatched to a call of a person 
possible passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Following an interview, 
it was determined that the driver was under the influence 
and arrested for D.U.I. and taken to the Pasadena Police Jail. During 
the booking process the subject also had outstanding arrest warrants.
