Sierra Madre Rose Float Association announces:

THE BEST DAY EVER! - 2025 Rose Parade Float Entry


This year’s SMRFA float depicts 
a cultural celebration, a fiesta. 
The 2025 Rose Parade ® theme is 
“Best Day Ever” and our Sierra 
Madre Float, ¡Fiesta!, showcases 
the Mariachi Divas, an all-female 
mariachi band, playing in a 
beautiful courtyard, surrounded 
by flowers, an archway and a 
stunning floral fountain. 

Folkloric dancers walk beside 
the float and, when selected, 
our Royal Court will ride 
on the float. Sharon Gahlla 
volunteered her talent to create 
our rendering. 

One way we raise funds to 
support the float is through 
Legendary Bingo, our next one 
will be on October 19th. 

Tickets are now available online 
on our website, in the online 
store.

9-10-24 A ONCE IN A LIFETIME DAY

Perhaps you recognized it right away. The numbers should look familiar to 
every resident in town. 91024....that's Sierra Madre's zip code and it is also the 
for the first time in 100 years that the date and our zip code will be the the same.

The last time this happened was on 9/10/1924 and it won't happen again until 
9/10/2124!

So, in true Sierra Madre tradition, the City of Sierra Madre and local 
organizations will be celebrating all day long. Breakfast, Lunch, Ice Cream 
Socials, Shopping, and fun for the entire family are on the agenda.

Our local organizations including Kiwanis, Rotary, the Sierra Madre Rose Float 
Association, the Sierra Madre Historical Preservation Society will conduct 
walking tours, Sierra Madre Woman's Club, Creative Arts Group and many 
others will participate in the activities of the day.

The day will also celebrate the launch of the Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce 
campaign to support our local businesses year round. The Chamber has 
launched a new website to guide you to the many vibrant businesses in town.
