IT’S DEFINITELY CHRISTMAS IN SIERRA MADRE By Coco La Salle Perry Como was right on the money when he sang, There’s No Place Like Home For The Holidays. Sierra Madre during the holidays is probably one of the nicest (and might I add most spirited) little villages in the San Gabriel Valley. Shortly after all the Halloween mayhem and stuffing our faces with far too much delicious Thanksgiving delicacies, the weather starts to cool down . . . way down and at that moment the feeling of Christmas is in the air. The city of Sierra Madre has their fair share of holiday traditions that many look forward to, but there are many traditions that our neighbors look forward to as well. Aside from the annual wonderfully decorated Christmas trees and the constant baking of oh so dangerously delicious holiday treats, it has come to our attention that many in the neighborhood spread their holiday cheer by going above and beyond and transforming their front yards into spectacular works of Holiday magic! This reporter scoured the streets of Sierra Madre one very chilly night looking for the best decorated home of Sierra Madre, but stumbled into one problem. There were far too many homes extraordinarily decorated to choose just one. For this reason The Mountains Views News is pleased to announce the top five Best Decorated Houses of Sierra Madre. Due to the safety of our neighbors these addresses will remain confidential. For those homeowners of these five incredible homes, we thank you! Your holiday cheer is highly noticed and appreciated by the whole community!
