Sierra Madre's favorite band ALUMINUM MARSHMALLOW
returns to the bandshell in Memorial Park this Saturday, July 3rd
to kick off the annual Independence Day weekend-long celebration
at 6:00pm, with the beer garden opening at 5:00. I snuck up on
them while they were rehearsing at an undisclosed location in town
the other night, and got to hear some of the new tunes they've been
working on. Don't let the photo(s) fool you - they may look like a
bunch of CPAs in their civilian clothes, but come Saturday they will
don their hippie threads and blow your mind with their repertoire
of mostly 60's and 70's Rock 'n' Roll, accompanied by THE AGE OF
AQUARIUS HORNS. So pack up the family, bring your blanket and
picnic dinner, and don't forget your dancing shoes!

a list for the next month, and call you. Each act gets two songs or ten

desserts and coffee ready. Bring your friends and family and join the
show! http://www.frethouse.com/

Sierra Madre Fire Safe
Council offers support to the
Sierra Madre Volunteer Fire
Department
The Sierra Madre Fire Safe Council is supporting
the Sierra Madre Volunteer Fire Department. The
support comes in the form of the Chase community
grants program We need as close to 1000 votes of
support as possible to get them to a point of having
a great chance of gaining $20,000 .Click on the link
below and vote for your fire department volunteers
now. If they are successful, it just may well be a piece
of equipment that saves the life of a loved one.
Voting closes July 12th
We are also looking to help the SMVFD by collecting
your comments to forward to them on your suggested
use of a $20k boost if they are successful...in other
words what piece of equipment would you like to see
them purchase. Add your comment/suggestions to
the link/ story at www.smfiresafe.com
....and thankyou. Hopefully we will see you at our
next education meeting in August.
