Sierra Madre's favorite band ALUMINUM MARSHMALLOW returns to the bandshell in Memorial Park this Saturday, July 3rd to kick off the annual Independence Day weekend-long celebration at 6:00pm, with the beer garden opening at 5:00. I snuck up on them while they were rehearsing at an undisclosed location in town the other night, and got to hear some of the new tunes they've been working on. Don't let the photo(s) fool you - they may look like a bunch of CPAs in their civilian clothes, but come Saturday they will don their hippie threads and blow your mind with their repertoire of mostly 60's and 70's Rock 'n' Roll, accompanied by THE AGE OF AQUARIUS HORNS. So pack up the family, bring your blanket and picnic dinner, and don't forget your dancing shoes! The support comes in the form of the Chase community grants program We need as close to 1000 votes of support as possible to get them to a point of having a great chance of gaining $20,000 .Click on the link below and vote for your fire department volunteers now.
