It’s been said that
a picture is worth a
thousand words, so
we have decided to
let the pages of this
edition describe the
July 4th festivities
as celebrated in the
City of Sierra Madre.

 Sierra Madre residents
and visitors
lined the streets from
Mariposa and Sunnyside,
up Sunnyside
to Sierra Madre
Blvd., and down
the boulevard to Sierra
Vista Park on
Wednesday, watching
more than 60
entries make their
way to the end of the
route. Participants
included the young
and the old, including
Mama Pete who
is soon to celebrate
96 years of good
living. The parade
ended with a community
picnic at the
park. Right, VFW
3208’s Honor Guard
set the pace. Photo
