Colleen McWilliams, and
Diamond Ridley-Pierce).
In addition, Jordan Hill (2012) signed a NLI in November to play
basketball at the University of Wisconsin in the fall of 2013. La

many years to come.

THE REEL DEAL: by Ben Show

Movie Reviews Especially for Teens & ‘Tweens

WARM BODIES

I saw the preview
for this and yawned.
Just another teen
romance, like
‘Twilight’. I didn’t
pay much attention
to it afterward.
However, I’m happy
to say that the first
big surprise of 2013
is here.

 R (Nicholas
Hoult) is anything
but an average
zombie. In a post
apocalyptic world, where nearly all of humanity is a mindless,
brain eating monster, R tries to remember who he used to be
and his huge collection of old memorabilia in an airplane. But
everything changes when he meets Julie (Teresa Palmer). The two
form an awkward friendship after he saves her. Soon he starts to
realize that she is more than just a close friend, but might actually
hold the cure for the virus: love.

I was honestly shocked by this movie. I thought it would
be another attempt to morph two genres together, but the
director/screenwriter (Jonathan Levine) make it work perfectly.
Rather than trying to be horror and romance at the same time,
he alternated, horror, then romance, and so on. Don’t miss this
spot-on undead romance.
