PET OF THE WEEK

TYSON: #A4622320

Meet the cuddliest little canine, Tyson (A4622320)!
Tyson is a happy-go-lucky two month old white and
brown neutered male Terrier puppy who was found in
Azusa on August 21st and brought to the Baldwin Park
Shelter. Weighing nine pounds and likely to grow to
twenty-three pounds, Tyson is pure puppy and ready for
training. We haven’t seen this long legged puppy interact
with other dogs (he hasn’t had all his vaccinations yet),
but he seemed to want to play with them and we think he
will be great for a family with kids. Tyson is the perfect
indoor pet for anyone in any living situation at all. To
watch a video of Tyson please visit: www.youtube.com/
watch?v=jN2E4ayrt9M

To meet Tyson in person, please see him at the Baldwin Park Shelter, located at 4275 N. Elton,
Baldwin Park, CA 91706 (Phone: 626-430-2378 or 626-962-3577). He is currently available now. For
any inquiries about Tyson, please reference his animal ID number: A4622320. The shelter is open
seven days a week, 12 pm-7 pm Monday-Thursday and 10am-5pm Friday-Sunday. This is a high-
intake shelter with a great need for adoptions. For more information about Tyson or the adoption
process, please contact United Hope for Animals Volunteer Adoption Coordinator Samantha at
Samantha@hope4animals.org. To learn more about United Hope for Animals’ partnership with the
Baldwin Park Shelter through its Shelter Support Program, as well as the many dogs of all breeds,
ages, and sizes available for adoption in local shelters, visit http://www.unitedhope4animals.org/

BARK AND BITE YOUR WAY THROUGH
ALTADENA’S FANCY FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY!

JOIN US FOR GOURMET DELIGHTS AND TAIL-
WAGGING ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13.

Red Beanz and Trailer Parks

Altadena’s Fancy Food Truck Friday is scheduled for Friday, September 13; but there’s nothing
unlucky about the delicious selection of food truck fare. Making their way up the hill for the first time
is Trailer Park Truck, Red Beanz & Rice and The Reuben Truck. Coming back by popular demand
is Cambalache’s Argentinian Truck, Roll’N Lobster and dessert favorite, Sweet E’s Bake Shop. A
gourmet extravaganza not to be missed!

A Big Round of Tail-Wagging for The Pasadena Humane Society

This month, the Pasadena Humane Society Mobile Unit is coming to visit Altadena. We welcome
them and their wonderful devotion to finding forever homes for adoptable pets.

The Mobile Unit is a large “pet mobile” that transports several adoptable dogs to a variety of
community events. They also provide information about their services, as well as additional
information about pet ownership, training and care. This Friday the 13th may be your lucky day to
make friends with a new furry pal.

So Long, Farewell

Hard to believe, but this will be the final Fancy Food Truck Friday of the 2013 season. It’s been a
wonderful six months with lots of new delectable dining options and many new friends.

We’ve enjoyed being entertained by the McKinley Rock Stars and the Jumping Flea Circus Ukulele
Players. Don’t miss this final opportunity to tickle your tastebuds before it’s too late!
