BOSCO TECH TO HOST OPEN HOUSE ON NOVEMBER 23

ROSEMEAD, CA. – November 3, 2014 - Don Bosco Technical
Institute (Bosco Tech) will host its annual Fall Open House on
Sunday, November 23, 2014, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

Prospective students and their families are invited to tour the school’s
extensive applied-science and engineering labs and participate in
hands-on technology, science, and engineering workshops.

“The popular interactive workshops provide young people visiting
the campus the chance to ‘try out’ what Bosco Tech students
actually do,” said Bosco Tech Principal Xavier Jimenez. “Each of our
technology programs, as well as our fine arts and science programs,
will offer interesting samples of our experiential learning curriculum.
We encourage elementary and middle school students to sit in and
see what Bosco Tech offers.” Seating for the 30-minute workshops is
limited and reservations are encouraged.

Also during the Open House, the school’s many extracurricular
clubs and nine CIF athletic teams will provide information, while
the award-winning Royal Techmen marching band will entertain
the visiting crowds. The school’s Alumni Association will host a
reception for all alumni throughout the afternoon.

For more information about Open House or to reserve workshop
spots, contact Co-Director of Admissions Valeria De Luna at

vdeluna@boscotech.edu or 626-940-2009.

Bosco Tech is an all-male Catholic high school that combines a
rigorous college-preparatory program with a technology-focused
education. The innovative science, engineering, technology and math
(STEM) curriculum allows students to exceed university admission
requirements while completing extensive integrated coursework in
one of several applied science and engineering fields.

THE REEL DEAL: by Ben Show

NIGHTCRAWLER REVIEW

When a new thriller
comes out, it always tries
to redefine the genre.
Most fall flat and follow
the usual cookie cutter
pattern. However, after
seeing the first trailer for
‘Nightcrawler’, it looked
different enough that it
caught my interest, yet I
was not sure if it would
be revolutionary.

Louis Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal) has no idea what he’s going to
do with his life. He’s hardworking, dedicated, and always does
what it takes to get the job done. However, he cannot determine
what job that is. All the changes one night when he happens
upon a car accident on the freeway and the freelance cameramen
documenting this. Once he sees all of this, his entire life is focused
on one thing: making it big in the business of

‘Nightcrawler’ is that rare, low budget, action thriller that happens
to have both an refreshingly original story and absolutely stunning
visuals. All this is fueled by an excellent directing job from first
time director Dan Gilroy and a revolutionary performance from
Jake Gyllenhaal. ‘Nightcrawler’ will leave you shocked and with
plenty to talk about when you leave the theater.
