SIERRA MADRE WELCOMES GOODY BAGS

ANTONOVICH WELCOMES PASTOR WILLIAM 
TURNER JR. TO LEAD BOARD INVOCATION

LOS ANGELES COUNTY — Supervisor Michael 
D. Antonovich welcomed Pastor William Turner, 
Jr., Senior Pastor of the New Revelation Missionary 
Baptist Church in Pasadena, to the Board of 
Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, September 13, 
where he delivered the invocation.

 Dr. William Turner has been the Pastor of New 
Revelation Missionary Baptist Church for 49 
years. Under his leadership, New Revelation built 
a community center which includes a pre-school, 
infant care center, elementary school, and a full 
court gymnasium. Currently, he is conducting 
a capital campaign to refurbish the center and 
increase capacity.

 A strong community leader in Los Angeles 
County, he serves on several boards and 
commissions for the City of Pasadena and as 
the First Vice President of the Baptist Ministers 
Conference of Los Angeles, a network of over 300 
churches.

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY WATER FORUM SCHEDULED TO 
TAKE PLACE ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2016, AT THE SHERATON 
FAIRPLEX CONFERENCE CENTER IN POMONA


Just a quick note to remind everyone that the 
San Gabriel Valley Water Forum is scheduled 
to take place on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, 
from 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at the Sheraton 
Fairplex Conference Center in Pomona. 

 The event will bring together a number 
of water industry experts to examine issues 
related to how our current drought is 
impacting San Gabriel Valley in terms of 
water supply issues, environmental concerns, 
public health, the economy, and even the MS4 
Stormwater Permit.
