Julie’s Favorite Family Recipes 


FIG BUTTER RECIPE 

Ingredients 

6 cups figs with stems removed3/ 4 cup sweet white wine or white grape juice3/4 cup honey1/2 T lemon juice2 t vanilla 
1 t cinnamon 

Instructions 

Add everything to a 2 quart crockpot and cook on high for 2 hours.

Using a large spoon or potato masher, mash figs until all whole figs are broken down. Crack the lidto let the steam escape and turn crockpot down to low and continue to cook for 6 – 8 hours.

Fill hot jars with butter, add lids (reusable canning lids) and hot water bath them for 10 minutes.ByOur SImple Homestead
