Naelh Othman and Sheryl Lefmann have been committed to serving homeless kids within the Duarte Unified School District - Naelh as a District employee and Sheryl as a Duarte Chamber Board Member. Under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance act, school districts are responsible to ensure children in homeless situations (including, couch surfing, multiple families living together, living out of cars, etc.) are served.
