PSAs will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 24/7 and can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial. Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. Tuesday, February 27 At about 9:34 a.m. officers responded to the 00block of N. Baldwin Ave. for a report of a physical altercation. Followingthe investigation, officers determined that one of the persons involved wasa danger to others and was transported to a local hospital for observation. Thursday, March 1 A vehicle was stopped for a vehicle code violationat Baldwin Ave. and Highland Ave. at about 12:15 a.m. A records checkof the vehicle indicated that the vehicle was stolen. Officers arrested the juvenile driver and passenger for theft of a vehicle. The arrestees werecited and released to their respective parents with the parents being cited. Case to Detectives Friday, March 2 Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of San GabrielCT regarding a female that had entered a home without the owner’spermission. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the femaleentered the home through an unlocked door and vandalized the owner’sproperty. The female was arrested for burglary of a residence. Case toDetectives for follow up NOTE: During this time period, traffic stops for specific violations alsorevealed driver’s license violations including, operating their vehicles withan expired license, a suspended license or never obtaining a license.
