On Sunday, members of
Sierra Madre Veterans
of Foreign Wars Chapter
3208 (VFW Honor Gaurd
pictured above) held their
annual Memorial Day
Ceremony honoring our
veterans who have passed
away.

The event was held in
Memorial Park and was
attended by the young
and old, all thankful for
the service that has been
given by our veterans. In
attendance was one of
Sierra Madre's surviving World War II Vets, Art Contreras
(right).

The guest speaker was Dr. Harold “Doc” Martin, a former U.S.
Army Captain who fought with the 14th Infantry Regiment
in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. Photos by Mary Lou Caldwell
