Tournament of Roses Rose Queen and Royal Court. The 
court will share their favorite princess stories and recent 
New Year’s experiences. Bring a camera and a smile to pose 
with royalty.

Event January 16

 
Pasadena Mayor Terry 
Tornek will present his 
annual State of the City 
Address on Tuesday, January 
16, at the Pasadena Unified 
School District’s Marshall 
Fundamental High School, 
990 N. Allen Avenue. 

 The event will be held in the 
Eagles’ new gymnasium. 

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. 
The program will be from 
7-8 p.m. with Mayor 
Tornek providing financial 
information about the City 
as well as several other 
important updates on City 
issues.

 On-site parking, including 
disabled parking, plus 
additional on-street parking 
will be available.

Spanish translation and 
closed captioning services 
will be provided. Light 
refreshments will be served 
following the Mayor’s 
address.

 Pasadena Media, at 
pasadenamedia.org, will be 
there to record the event 
for broadcast on KPAS, the 
City’s government cable 
access television channel, 
seen locally on Charter, 
Channel 3, and AT&T 
U-Verse, Channel 99, and 
also streamed on the City’s

Free SAT Test Taking 
Strategy Workshop

PWP invites you to the first Greywater Workshop

Join us on Saturday, January 27th for an intro to the benefits 
of greywater and tips on how to install a system. 

The greywater workshop will introduce PWPs existing 
greywater program which provides residents with a free 
on-site technical consult and an $80.00 greywater voucher 
toward the purchase of their greywater system parts.

PWP also offers a direct install of L2L greywater systems 
for income-qualified customers at no cost as part of this

 The South Pasadena Public Library is partnering with 
IvyMax to offer two FREE SAT PREP WORKSHOPS in 
January. 

SAT STRATEGY SESSION 

SUNDAY, JANUARY 14, 2018 • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM in the 
Library Community Room 1115 El Centro Street.

 This workshop will cover test-prep and test-taking strategies 
and the new SAT format, including scoring methods and 
sections. Plus, get a brief introduction to STEM (Science, 
Technology, Engineering, Math) research competitions 
and an overview of the college application process, from 
deadlines and essays, to the different application platforms, 
including the University of California (UC), Common 
App, and Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success 
(CAAS).
