ARCADIA POLICE BLOTTER 

For the period of Sunday, June 12h 
through Saturday, June 18th, the 
Police Department responded to 
955 calls for service, of which 116 
required formal investigations. The 

following is a summary report of some of the major 
incidents handled by the Department during this 
period. 

Sunday, June 12:

1. At 3:38 a.m., an officer responded to SimplyDonuts, located at 34 West Las Tunas Drive, regarding 
a commercial burglary incident. Surveillance 
footage revealed a lone suspect entered the business 
by smashing the front window and ransacking the 
cash register. The suspect is described as a Hispanic 
male, approximately 5’10” with a thin build, dark 
hair, dark beard, and seen wearing a light colored 
t-shirt. 
2. At 1:41 p.m., an officer responded to the area 
of Lucile Street and Santa Anita Avenue, regarding a 
theft from vehicle report. The victim discovered his 
catalytic converter had been stolen from his Lexus 
LX470 between June 8th and 11th. The suspect left 
behind a black baseball cap. 
Monday, June 13:

3. At 8:18 a.m., an officer responded to Arcadia 
City Hall, located at 240 West Huntington Drive, 
regarding a disorderly conduct incident. The officer 
located the suspect as he was urinating in public. 
The 22-year-old local male transient was arrested 
and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. 
4. At 1:13 p.m., an officer responded to the intersection 
of South Santa Anita Avenue and El Dorado 
Street regarding a battery incident. A witness 
reported a domestic dispute and the male half pulling 
the female victim from the car against her will. 
The suspect, a 26-year-old male from Los Angeles 
was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail 
for booking. The victim was transported to Arcadia 
Methodist Hospital for an evaluation. 
Tuesday, June 14:

5. At 1:52 a.m., an officer responded to the area 
of Camino Real Avenue and Holly Avenue regarding 
a possible driver driving under the influence. Upon 
making contact, the officer noticed signs of alcohol 
impairment and the 39-year-old male from San Gabriel 
admitted to drinking earlier in the morning. 
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia 
City Jail for booking. 
6. At 3:08 p.m., an officer responded to the 00 
block of Briargate Lane regarding a fraud report. An 
investigation revealed a male and female suspects 
lied to the victim about being deported if she did 
not pay for a background check. The suspects then 
instructed the victim to transfer $4,500.00 via Zelle 
and by purchasing Bitcoin. The victim complied and 
became suspicious when they asked for more moneyin Target gift cards. 
Wednesday, June 15:

7. At 4:16 p.m., officers responded to the area 
of 2nd Avenue and Duarte Road regarding a male 
driver asleep at the wheel of his vehicle. Through a 
series of tests, the officers determined the driver had 
a blood alcohol content of 0.09%. They also discovered 
he was in possession of a concealed and loaded 
firearm. The 58-year-old male from Pasadena was 
arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for 
booking.

8. At 6:12 p.m., an officer responded to Westfield 
Santa Anita Mall, located at 400 South Baldwin 
Avenue, regarding a robbery that had just occurred. 
The victim stated he was confronted in the parkinglot by four suspects, one of them holding a knife, 
who demanded his gold necklaces and wallet. The 
victim complied and the suspects fled. All four suspects 
are described as Hispanic males between the 
ages of 14 and 18-years-old. 
Thursday, June 16:

9. At 2:00 p.m., an officer responded to Westfield 
Santa Anita Mall, located at 400 South Baldwin 
Avenue, regarding a grand theft report. The victim 
discovered her catalytic converter had been stolen 
from her Honda Element sometime between 12:20 
p.m. and 2:00 p.m. 
10. At 3:56 p.m., an officer responded to 7-Eleven, 
located at 1003 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding 
a robbery report. An investigation revealed the 
suspect pushed an employee while attempting to 
steal beer from the location. The suspect was located 
nearby, and the 33-year-old male transient was arrested 
and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for 
booking. 
11. At 9:41 p.m., officers responded to a residence 
in the 00 block of Alta Street regarding aburglary in progress. Officers located the suspect, a36-year-old male from Wilmington, who admitted 
to entering the home without permission. He was 
arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for 
booking. 
Friday, June 17:

12. At 2:07 p.m., an officer responded to REI,
located at 214 North Santa Anita Avenue, regarding 
a petty theft report. The officer discovered the suspect 
stole a knife from REI and fled on foot when 
officers attempted to contact him. A records check 
revealed the 23-year-old male transient had two outstanding 
misdemeanor warrants. He was arrested 
and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. 
Saturday, June 18:

13. At 5:57 a.m., an officer responded to a residence 
in the 1000 block of South 10th Avenue, regarding 
an attempted residential burglary report. 
Surveillance footage captured the suspect, a White 
or Hispanic adult male with a heavy build, ride a 
bike to the victim’s home, attempt to open the locked 
garage door with a knife, and when he cannot open 
the door, he returned to his bicycle and rode away. 
No loss or damage was reported. 
14. At 9:05 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 
block of East Live Oak Avenue regarding a vehicle 
burglary incident. Sometime between 7:30 p.m. on 
June 17th and 4:00 p.m. on June 18th, someone 
smashed one of the vehicle windows and stole two 
bicycles.

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of June 12 - 18, 2022:

 June 12, 2022

• Arson: 
Mel Canyon Road and Royal Oaks Drive. On June 12, 2022 at approximately 4:18 PM, suspect(s) 
unknown set fire to the hillside of the area. The fire started approximately 35 feet from the K-rails 
at MelCanyon Road and Brookridge Road. Per fire investigators the fire was not started by natural 
causes. No surveillance video available. 
June 13, 2022 

• Grand theft: 
Crestfield Drive and Bloomdale Street. Between June 9, 2022, 8 PM and June 13, 2022, 8:30 AM, 
suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter to the victims parked vehicle a gray 2000 Honda 
Accord. Loss was approximately $1,600. No surveillance video available.
• Grand Theft: 
2315 Huntington Drive (CVS). On June 13, 2022 at 5:41 PM, suspects unknown, two female 
black adults, were observed on surveillance entering the location carrying large tote bags and 
walking directly to the cosmetic area. The suspects made multiple selections of cosmetics and 
concealed the items inside their tote bags. The suspects walked out of the location failing to payfor the items. Loss was approximately $2,600. Surveillance video available. 
June 14, 2022 

• Burglary (Vehicle):
1193 Huntington Drive (Planet Fitness). On June 14, 2022 between 5:30 AM and 6:45 AM, 
suspect(s) unknown shattered the front passenger side window to victim’s vehicle, a red Hyundai 
Elantra. Suspect(s) stole a black backpack containing miscellaneous items from the vehicle. Loss 
was approximately $300. No surveillance video available. 
June 15, 2022 

• Grand Theft Auto: 
1210 Royal Oaks Drive. Between June 8, 2022 at 1 PM and June 15, 2022 at 8 PM, suspect(s) 
unknown stole the victims parked vehicle a White 2019 Mercedes Azzo. No surveillance video 
available. Vehicle recovered. 
June 16, 2022 

• Petty Theft:
2500 Block of Elda Street Huntington. On June 16, 2022 at 3 PM, suspect unknown, a male adult 
wearing an Amazon uniform, was observed on surveillance walking up to the location and taking 
a package from the doorstep. The suspect entered a yellow Kia EV6 vehicle and fled the area. Loss 
was approximately $700. Surveillance video available. 
• Grand Theft: 
2000 block of Broach Avenue. On 0June 16, 2022 at 4:45 AM, two unknown suspect(s) wearingdark clothing were observed on video surveillance taking the catalytic converter to the victims 
parked vehicle a 2003 Honda Accord. Suspects fled the area in an unknown vehicle. Loss was approximately 
$1,000.
• Grand Theft Auto: 
Fernley Drive and Crestfield Drive. Between June 15, 2022 at 10:48 PM and June 16, 2022 at 9:05 
AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victims parked vehicle a white 2017 Ford F650. No surveillance 
video available. Vehicle outstanding. 
DUARTE POLICE ADVISORY MESSAGE: 

A MAN IMPERSONATING AN AMAZON DELIVERY DRIVER STEALS PACKAGE FROM 
THE FRONT PORCH 

The City of Duarte and the Los Angeles County Sheriff 's Department want residents to be aware 
that additional patrol has been deployed into all Duarte neighborhoods after a man wearing an 
Amazon delivery shirt was caught on camera appearing to impersonate an Amazon delivery driver 
and stealing an Amazon package. 

On Thursday, June 16, the suspect was seen driving a yellow Kia EV6 in the 2500 Block of Elda 
Street at approximately 3:30 p.m. Witnesses reported that the man was sitting in his vehicle waiting 
on the street for the Amazon delivery driver, and after the delivery came, he followed to steal the 
package. 
We ask all residents to remain vigilant, call in suspicious persons and vehicles, take license plates 
down, and be a good witnesses. Never approach or confront strangers. Please call Temple Sheriff 's 
Station Dispatch and report any and all suspicious activity at (626) 448-9861. 

SIERRA MADRE POLICE BLOTTER

 WEEKLY ACTIVITY REPORT 

June 12 – June 18, 2022The following represents a summary report of some of the major incidents handled by 
the Sierra Madre Police Department during this period. This list is not intended to be 
considered exclusive or all-inclusive. 

Sunday, June 12 Hit and Run Traffic Collision 
Officers responded to the 100 block of Sierra Madre Blvd for reports of a hit and run 
traffic collision. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported 
that an unknown vehicle collided with their parked vehicle, and fled the scene. 
The Detectives' Bureau is following up on this incident. 

Tuesday, June 14 Stolen Vehicle 
At approximately 2:00 PM, officers responded to the 00 block of Suffolk Ave for reports 
of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, the reporting party told officers that their 
silver Chevrolet Pickup was stolen overnight. There was no suspect description at the 
time, and the vehicle was entered into a state system as stolen. The Detectives' Bureau 
is following up on this incident 

Wednesday, June 15 Traffic Collision into Structure 
Officers responded to the 300 block of W Sierra Madre Blvd for reports of a traffic 
collision. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle had collided into the storefront 
of a business. The Sierra Madre Fire Department Paramedics assessed the occupant 
of the vehicle and transported the patient, with minor injuries, to a local hospital 
for further medical evaluation. There were no occupants in the building during the 
collision 

Thursday, June 16 Traffic Collision 
Officers responded to the area of Sierra Madre Blvd and Holdman Ave for reports of 
a traffic collision. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 2 vehicle traffic collision in the 
intersection. Both drivers were treated by Sierra Madre Fire Department Paramedics, 
but refused transport. 

MONROVIA POLICE BLOTTER 

Highlighted Activity for 

June 16 – 22, 2022 During 

the last seven-day period, 
the Police Department handled 390 service 
events, resulting in 77 investigations. 

Commercial Burglary June 16 at 8:51 a.m., 
an employee at a business in the 600 block 
of W. Huntington called to report that sometime 
during the night someone broke into 
the business. An investigation revealed one 
suspect gained entry via the front door using 
a pry bar, causing the glass to shatter. This investigation 
is continuing. 

Fraud June 16 at 10:02 a.m., a victim in 
the 400 block of W. Huntington stated she 
received a text alert from Chase bank advising 
her of a fraudulent attempt purchase. She 
didn't think much of it and text back advisingChase she did not make the purchase. This 
morning, she received additional text message 
alerts from a different bank regarding adifferent credit card and fraudulent purchases. 
This investigation is continuing. 

Grand Theft Auto / Driving Under the Influence 
– Suspect Arrested June 17 at 3:31 
a.m., a stolen company truck was reported 
and tracked to the intersection of Foothill 
and Alta Vista. Officers located the truck and 
saw it commit multiple traffic violations. The 
vehicle failed to stop for officers and the driver 
eventually pulled over and fled on foot. 
Officers located the suspect in a nearby yard 
where he was detained. The suspect was also 
found to have been driving under the influence. 
He was arrested and taken into custody. 

Weapons Violation – Suspect Arrested June 
17 at 8:22 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic 
stop near the intersection of Primrose and 
Huntington on a motorist who committed 
a traffic violation. The driver was contacted 
and acting evasive about his parole status. 
A search of his vehicle revealed a loaded 
handgun with a high capacity magazine. He 
was arrested and taken into custody. InjuryTraffic 

Battery – Suspects Arrested June 18 at 1:12 
a.m., a caller at a bar in the 100 block of E. 
Olive reported a battery had just occurred 
against an employee. Officers arrived and 
were immediately confronted with an unruly 
crowd. Officers were able to navigate their 
way through the crowd and detained the 
male and female suspect. The victim wanted 
prosecution and placed both suspects under 
private person's arrest. The two suspects were 
arrested and taken into custody. 

Trespass / Drug Activity – Suspect Arrested 

June 18 at 3:52 a.m., a homeowner reported 
he was on vacation and could see someone 
on his video surveillance who was lookinginto the windows of his residence in the 200 
block of Highland Place. Officers arrived and 
quickly set up a containment. While conducting 
yard searches, an officer located the 
suspect hiding. He was detained and drug 
paraphernalia was located on his property. 
The homeowner did not want prosecution 
for the trespass. The suspect was arrested for 
the paraphernalia and taken into custody. 

Residential Burglary June 18 at 8:35 a.m., a 
victim in the 600 block of Parkrose said he 
left his home garage door open overnight. In 
the morning, he discovered his bicycle had 
been stolen from inside of the garage. This 
investigation is continuing. 

Vehicle Burglary June 18 at 11:26 a.m., a victim 
in the 700 block of S. Myrtle parked his 
vehicle in a parking garage overnight. In the 
morning, he discovered the vehicle had been 
broken into by smashing the window and his 
property had been stolen. This investigation 
is continuing. 

Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested June 
18 at 6:17 p.m., a resident in the 500 block 
of W. Palm reported her live-in boyfriend 
hit her. Officers arrived and detained all involved 
parties. An investigation revealed the 
boyfriend struck the girlfriend in the face 
causing visible injuries. The boyfriend was 
arrested and taken into custody. 

Brush Fire June 19 at 1:39 p.m., a caller stated 
there was a small brush fire near the intersection 
of Alta Vista and Patrician Way. While 
officers and fire were responding to the call, 
a caller stated he had put the fire out with a 

bottle of water. Fire personnel and officers 
arrived and the area was still smoking a bit. 
Fire personnel put additional water on the 
area and made sure it was out. It is unknown 
at this time what started it. This investigation 
is continuing. 

Theft June 19 at 6:24 p.m., officers responded 
to the 200 block of W. Maple regarding a 
theft. The victim reported that his catalytic 
converter was stolen. This investigation is 
continuing. 

Injury Traffic Collision June 19 at 9:05 p.m., 
an injury traffic collision was reported in the 
400 block of W. Duarte Road. One party suffered 
minor injuries and was transported to a 
local hospital for medical treatment. 

Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested 
June 20 at 1:58 a.m., an officer patrolling 
the intersection of Foothill and Mauna 
Loa saw a vehicle driving on the wrong side 
of the road at a high rate of speed. A traffic 
stop was conducted and the driver was too 
intoxicated to operate his vehicle safely. He 
was arrested and transported to Monrovia 
Police Department jail to be held for a sobering 
period. 

Warrant – Suspect Arrested June 20 at 

11:48 a.m., while on patrol an officer in the 
600 block of W. Huntington saw a subject he 
knew from prior contacts. An investigation 
revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant 
for his arrest. He was arrested and taken 
into custody. 
Municipal Code / Resisting – Suspect Arrested 
June 21 at 12:55 a.m., an officer was 
patrolling the area of 1600 S. Myrtle. He saw 
a male subject in the park after hours and attempted 
to contact him. The subject walked 
away from the officer. He was detained without 
incident. He was arrested and released 
with a citation. 

Theft – Suspect Arrested June 21 at 1:27 
a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 
block of S. Mountain regarding a subject 
pushing a cart full of sod from the location. 
They arrived and detained the suspect who 
admitted to taking the sod and cart. He was 
arrested and released with a cation. 

Warrant – Suspect Arrested June 21 at 9:55 
a.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle 
driving back and forth in the 800 block of 
Alta. Officers arrived and made contact with 
the driver of the vehicle. An investigation 
revealed he had an outstanding warrant for 
his arrest. He was arrested and taken into 
custody. 

Warrant – Suspect Arrested June 21 at 1:14 
p.m., officers were doing surveillance on 
a location in the in the city for a possible 
wanted suspect. The suspect was later spotted 
in a vehicle a short distance away. The 
vehicle was stopped and a felony traffic stop 
was performed. The suspect was identified 
and arrested. He was then transported to the 
Monrovia PD Jail for booking. 

Warrant – Suspect Arrested June 21 at 3:52 
p.m., officers responded to a call stating that 
a male suspect just broke into one of the storage 
sheds at a location in the 1600 block of S. 
Myrtle and was walking away. Officers saw a 
subject in the area that matched the description 
and detained him. The suspect was positively 
identified by the witness and further 
investigation revealed he had an outstanding 
warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and 
taken into custody. 

Vehicle Burglary June 22 at 11:59 a.m., an 
employee at the 700 block of W. Huntington 
reported that a customer’s vehicle had been 
broken into. The officer arrived and spoke to 
the victim. She said she parked and placed 
her purse on the front passenger floorboard, 
then got her dog and went inside the store. 
When she came out the front window was 
smashed and her purse was gone. This investigation 
is continuing. 

Burglary June 22 at 7:11 p.m., the victim 
parked her vehicle at the 1600 block of S. 
Mountain. When she returned she discovered 
her window was smashed and property 
was stolen. This investigation is continuing.
