Anniversary of the
United States Army,
Navy, and Marines

 City of Pasadena officials

City Hall –this heartfelt
event honors the courage,
sacrifice, and service of our

Final Design Showcase for
the Sierra Madre Median
Enhancement Project

 City of Pasadena officials
announced Thursday that
they are inviting community
members to attend the final
outreach and engagement
event for the Sierra Madre
Median Enhancement Project, a
collaborative effort to transform
select segments of the Sierra
Madre Boulevard medians into
greener, more sustainable spaces.

 They said residents are
encouraged to join City staff
on Tuesday, September 23,
from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the
Victory Park Recreation Center
Gymnasium (2575 Paloma
Street) for an opportunity to:

Attend a presentation at 6:30
p.m. highlighting the project’s
final design and next steps for
implementation.

Explore a showcase featuring the
selected plant palette, landscape
features, and stormwater
enhancements that will beautify
and improve the medians while
supporting habitat creation and
water quality.

Connect with staff and project
partners to learn how the
project aligns with Pasadena’s
commitment to sustainability,
urban greening, and community-
centered design.

 The Sierra Madre Median
Enhancement Project focuses
on targeted sections of the
boulevard medians, rather
than all medians included in
the original master planning
process. The design incorporates
stormwater improvements,
greening strategies, and low-
impact landscaping to create an
inviting corridor that enhances
both ecological and community
value.

 Led by the City’s Department
of Public Works, this project
was developed with support
from Pasadena residents and
stakeholders through a series
of community workshops
and surveys. The final event
marks the culmination of this
collaborative effort to shape
the future of Sierra Madre
Boulevard.
