announced Wednesdaythe South Pasadena Arts & 
Music Crawl on Saturday,
April 25 from 3:00 p.m. –

10:00 p.m. The event willtake place along MissionStreet, from Fair Oaks 
Avenue to Meridian Avenue, 
transforming the downtowndistrict into a vibrant 
celebration of creativity andcommunity. 
Blending the seasonalSpring Arts Crawl with 
the annual Eclectic Music 
Festival, this reimaginedevent invites residents and 
visitors alike to enjoy anafternoon and evening filledwith art, music, and local 
flavor. This free, family-
friendly experience will 
feature live performances,
interactive art activities, 
pop-up galleries, artisan 
booths, and special offeringsfrom local shops and 
restaurants.

 At the corner of Mission 
Street and Meridian Avenue, 
the South Pasadena RotaryClub will present the RotaryPeace Stage. Music kicksoff at 3:00 p.m. with theSouth Pasadena Transit 
Authority and continues 
with a new act every hour.
Evening highlights includeCole Gallagher at 7:00 p.m.,
The Drive at 8:00 p.m., andGoldtooth at 9:00 p.m.
A nearby beer and winegarden, featuring Knox &
Dobson craft cocktails, will 
be available nearby.

 Further along MissionStreet, the Dinosaur Farm 
Stage will host performancesin its outdoor space from

3:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The 
lineup includes the debutsolo project of Raul Pacheco,
founder of Ozomatli, at 7:30 
p.m., followed by a closingset from the acclaimed blues 
group Delgado Bros. at 8:30 
p.m. 
At Mamma’s Brick Oven 
Pizza, the Singer-SongwriterStage will showcase an 
impressive lineup of local andemerging talent beginning 
at 3:00 p.m. Performers 
include South Pasadena 
artists Franki Cox, MayaProulx, Sophie Reynolds,
and DrunkHungry, alongwith former American Idol 
contestants Tristen and 
Delaney.

 In addition to live music, 
attendees can explore popup 
galleries, participate inhands-on art activities, and 
browse unique, handcraftedgoods from local artisansalong Mission Street. SouthPasadena’s shops and 
eateries will also join in thecelebration with specialpromotions and experiencesthroughout the event.

Tournament Announces 2026 Rose Scholars 

The Pasadena Tournament of 
Roses Association announced 
Thursday that they have selectedeight high school seniors as the 
2026 ROSE Scholars. This year,
the program awarded $20,000 inscholarships to eight graduatingseniors from the Pasadena 
Unified School District.

 “This year’s Rose Scholarsare a powerful reminder thattalent and potential show upin different ways,” said TerryMadigan, President of the 2027Tournament of Roses. “Throughcreativity and self-expression,
these students have shared 
who they are and what mattersto them, and that takes bothcourage and heart. We believethe arts play an essential role 
in education, helping studentsfind their voices and see new 
possibilities for their future. 
We’re proud to partner withCitizens Business Bank, whose 
continued support helps bringthis program to life each year.
It’s an honor to support theseremarkable young people as theytake their next steps.”

 According to Tournamentofficials in the application 
process, students were 
encouraged to showcase theirfuture dreams, goals and 
aspirations through a creative 
piece. Additionally, they wererequired to submit a one-
page reflection, elucidatingtheir thoughts and emotionsregarding their creation. Ratherthan requiring a minimum GPA,
applicants were tasked with 
obtaining a recommendation 
from a teacher, coach, counselor 

or community member.

 To date, the program hasawarded $120,000 to PUSD 
seniors. ROSE Scholars 
presented by Citizens BusinessBank is designed to help studentsin our community thrive andfoster their potential.

Pasadena who were impactedby the Eaton fire are invitedto attend an informative event 
to help understand rebuildingwith the Turnkey/Productionbuilding option on Saturday,
April 25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.,
onsite at the Pasadena Senior 
Center.

 At this event, presented 
by the Altadena Recovery 
and Rebuild Corporation(ARRC), attendees will learnwhat makes ‘turnkey’ and 
production building unique. 
They’ll also learn what is 
included in terms of design,
production and other factors,
and explore the full rebuild 
process.

 “In addition, we’ll discusstimelines, budgetingconsiderations, and how tothink about potential gapsbetween insurance and total 
rebuild cost,” they said. “These 
reliable pre-planned optionscan help shorten timelines,
simplify decision-makingand reduce risk in a waythat may improve long-terminsurability.”

PWP Solar and BatteryRebate Pilot Program

Pasadena Water and Power 
(PWP) is launching a pilotprogram offering new rebatesfor residential and commercial 
solar installations and batterystorage, making it easier and 
more affordable for PWP 
customers to adopt clean,
reliable energy. These incentivessupport the City’s goal to achieve100% carbon-free electricityby the end of 2030, whileoptimizing for affordability, rateequity, stability, and reliability.

 “Installing a rooftop solarsystem is an environmentallyresponsible way for PWP 
customers to reduce energyuse, support Pasadena’s cleanenergy goals, and lower theirutility bills,” said General 
Manager David Reyes. “We 
hope these new rebates, along 
with PWP’s other popular 
incentives, encourage even 
more customers to adopt these 
proven technologies.”

 Eligible PWP residential 
electric customers can receive a 
rebate of $0.60 per watt for thepurchase and installation of a 
new, permanent rooftop solarsystem, or for the expansion ofan existing system. Customersenrolled in one of PWP’s 
income-qualified bill assistance 
programs are eligible for a 
rebate of $1.00 per watt. Batteryenergy storage incentives arealso available and offer up to$550 per kilowatt-hour.

 Qualifying commercial 
customers may receive rebates 

of up to $80,000 per meterfor installing new, permanentrooftop solar systems or 
expanding existing systems. 
Tiered rebates for batteryenergy storage are also availableup to $80,000 per meter.

 To further encourage theadoption of these technologies,
PWP will not charge planreview and inspection fees forsolar and battery systems duringthe pilot program. This appliesonly to PWP-related solar and 
battery project costs. Structural,
Building & Safety, meter, andother non-energy related feesmay still apply.
