MEET CAROLE ANNE KAUFMAN

Carole grew up in Monrovia. Fun fact:
Carole ‘s mother was ‘The Wizard of Bras’ the
foremost living expert on foundation garments.

Carole’s small business, Studio C Hair Artistry,
is celebrating 30 years this year! Her motto is“Making the SGV a more beautiful place”.
Her hair studio will continue to support the
community for years to come as well.

She is also known internationally as ‘TheWhistling Diva’ She is a two-time worldchampion musical whistler who has performedaround the world! She will be participating in
The Masters of Musical Whistling InternationalFestival and Competition - the subject of afeature documentary from the Academy Awardnominated Australian team, Songbird Studios.
Carole is off to Australia in June to attend the
films showing at the Sydney International Film
Festival at the Sydney Opera House. The 6thbiennial Masters of Whistling will be back in
Hollywood in the Fall of 2027.

“I plan to continue to perform until I amdead! It is a huge part of my self-expressionand identity. I love being with an audience. I
hope to build my nonprofit and support thecommunity to discover and explore their ownart form for decades to come”.

“Whistling has been around for centuries and
when performed at a world class level, people
are surprised by the power, grace, and beautyof the music”. She likes to say “If whistling isa thing, your thing is a thing!” She believeseveryone is an artist and everything can be art.
Her goal is to inspire individuals to bring theirself-expression to life and connect with others
who are also expanding their quality of life
through the arts.

Carole is also a professional keynote speaker.
In addition, she created Creative Being, anonprofit three years ago, which inspirescommunity and creativity through artistic self-
expression. Her nonprofit produces the 9thAnnual Monrovia Music Fest.
Monrovia Music Fest is coming to Library

out a bit more here in the suburbs. Monrovia,
with all its history and heritage, has been home
to me for so long and I love that I am connected
to so many individuals and organizations that
are the life’s blood of our little corner of the
world.”

We also wanted to know about any obstaclesthat she may have had to overcome.

Carole replied, “We all have obstacles and
I think our greatest challenge is to overcomethe critical mind so we can lovingly embrace
our authentic self so that we can have true
peace,joy, and self-expression.”

Carole has spent a great deal of time and effortcreating positive conversations with herselfso that she can be a supportive team-mate toherself and override the toxic indoctrination
that is so prevalent in society today.

When it comes to her nonprofit, she is learningmore every day how to be a great leader for herteam. In addition, they are always looking forvolunteers who stand for the arts to completetheir team and want to make a difference with
them.

We asked Carole how she stays inspired.

Carole responded by saying, “I surround
myself with people that support my positivevision of myself. I allow inspiration to flow if it
feels good - even if it sounds crazy - and then Itell everyone (that is supportive) my vision and
let their support give me even more wings.”

Carole’s Words of Wisdom:

Say “Yes” to YOU! I believe, “If it comes fromthe heart, it’s art.” Allow your inspirations tolive without judgement and take action. Do notedit or restrict your inspiration - it’s yours to
grow.

When Carole is not working she loves to travelthe world and enjoy the adventures of life!
